Terms of Use

Last updated: May 13, 2026

Acceptance

By using PDF Compare ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

Acceptable use

You may use the Service for any lawful purpose. You may not use it to process content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful to others, or to attempt to interfere with, scrape, or abuse the Service.

No warranty

The Service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind — express or implied. We do not guarantee that the diff output is complete, accurate, or error-free. Text extraction from PDFs has inherent limitations, particularly with scanned documents, complex layouts, or embedded fonts.

Do not rely solely on this tool for legally or financially critical decisions without independently verifying the results.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including any errors or omissions in the diff output.

Intellectual property

The Service and its underlying code are the property of their respective owners. Your files remain entirely your own. We do not claim any rights over documents you process using the Service.

All processing happens locally in your browser. Your documents are never uploaded to any server and are not accessible to us or any third party.

Third-party services

The Service uses Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics and Google AdSense for advertising. These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
